# 205 Certification of Candidate Field Assessors

## 205.1 Achieving Certification

Individuals shall meet the following requirements to be certified as a RESNET Candidate Field Assessor.

205.1.1 RESNET Certified HERS Rater in good standing.

205.1.2 As a Certified HERS Rater, complete confirmed ratings on a minimum of twenty-five (25) homes prior to becoming a Candidate Field Assessor. These 25 homes shall meet the minimum quality assurance processes defined in Section [904.3](https://standards.resnet.us/docs/904-responsibilities-and-requirements-for-rating-quality-assurance-providers) – Quality Assurance of HERS Raters and Ratings.

205.1.3 RESNET Accredited Rating Quality Assurance Providers shall:

205.1.3.1 Confirm eligibility prior to allowing Candidate Field Assessors within their Providership to perform mentoring of Graded Field Evaluations.

205.1.3.2 Maintain, and make available to RESNET upon request, a listing of qualified RESNET Candidate Field Assessors performing mentoring duties within their providership.
